22Split_star: 22 Split Stars

This is a 2-part class learning a lone star technique, therefore, not your typical lone star but 22 smaller Lone Star blocks with a split background. All star blocks are different and create a stunning star burst effct without using templates and without set-in seams. Learn precision strip piecing and cutting, accurate way to sew Y seams and top it off with a fool-proof mitered border method. There are two different quilt sizes and you choose the size you want to make.

BQ101: 101 Beginning Quilting: Winter 2026

You will be learning how to make 12 quilt blocks. Basic knowledge of your machine will provide you more time to learn 1/4" seam allowances, matching points and even an applique block as you put together your quilt top in this 5 session course, beginning Tuesday, February 3 and will meet weekly.
