Welcome to “And Sew It Began – Pieceful Stitches,” the first Texas quilting retreat venue nestled in the heart of historic LaPorte, TX. Whether it be sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, or other crafting, this is the place that can offer you the room and comfort to create something beautiful. You’ll be treated to a spacious new state of the art studio with great lighting, design walls, and comfortable chairs. If that’s not enough, this quaint little home is less than 2 blocks away from your very own "personal" quilt shop.  Our shop loves to cater to your special requests. 

Enjoy stepping back in time and experiencing the character of a 1913 Sears kit house. Each bedroom room is decorated in a different theme and there’s a cozy living room with a fireplace for when you just want to chill out and read a book. A full kitchen is at your disposal and the large dining area can seat your entire group. If cooking is not your thing, plenty of gourmet restaurants are right around the corner.

Nothing recharges your batteries like spending uninterrupted, quality time with your best friends, doing what you love.

MYSHOES: Custom Sneakers Class

Join us for a full ay of fun while you make a custom pair of sneakers. Class Fee includes a full day of instruction and a pair of sneaker soles. We will provide some of the tools needed for making the sneakers like a needle, thread and eyelets and setting tool.

BQ101: 101 Beginning Quilting: February/March 2025

You will be learning how to make 12 quilt blocks. Basic knowledge of your machine will provide you more time to learn 1/4" seam allowances, matching points and even an applique block as you put together your quilt top in this 5 session course, beginning Tuesday, February 25 and will meet weekly. The class will end on March 25, 2025.

BROKENSTAR: Broken Star
