Beginning Hand Applique Class

In this class, you will learn how to create prepared-edge appliqué using the starch method. During the class, you will make a sample project—a notebook cover.
A kit is included in the class fee and contains appliqué flower patterns, freezer paper for templates, starch, a paintbrush, straw needles, and finishing instructions for the notebook cover. Please see the additional supplies you will need to bring to class below.
Applique Supply List:
- Fabric for applique shapes - approx 10 - 12 scraps or 5" charm squares for flowers, flower center, leaves, stem and vase/pot
- Paper Scissors
- Fabric Scissors (recommend small to medium size scissors)
- Small iron (conair EZ press 800 Watt is what I will be using in class)
- Ironing surface (not a wool pressing mat)
- Roxanne's Glue
- 50 weight thread to match fabrics
Composition Book Cover Finishing Supplies:
1 - Fat Quarter for applique and book cover
1 - Fat Quarter for linning
1/2 yard - medium weight fusible
